(1) For this method, you will need to download and install D365 Excel Add-in available here
(2) Start Excel with blank worksheet and ensure that D365 Excel Add-in is loaded (Insert, My Add-ins, Microsoft Dynamics Office Add-in)
(3) Click on Add server information and enter Server URL, https://sun****.operations.dynamics.com/). You may be prompted to enter your work email and password. Approach IT team for full URL.
(4) Click on Design, Add table, choose Purchase order Lines V2 or Sales Order Lines V2 and Next
(5) Select all fields, Add and click Done and Yes
(6) For Purchase, Select Filter, Purchase Order Lines V2 as Data Source, Purchase Order as filter field, contains as criteria, 714 to extract PO714 and click Done.
(7) For Sales, Select Filter, Sales Order Lines V2 as Data Source, Sales Order as filter field, contains as criteria, 188 to extract SO188 and click Done.
(8) Click Refresh to load the selection. Find and edit column Financial Dimensions (for Purchase) and Default Dimension Display Value (for Sales). Each dimension is separated by tilda ~.
(9) Once Financial Dimensions editing is completed, click on Publish to update changes in D365.
