How do I deal with phishing email?

1) Phishing emails are electronic messages used to trick users into clicking links to gain access to corporate networks.

2) Our email system is protected against phishing emails but they get through to users sometimes.

3) If you received suspicious-looking or phishing email, do not click on any link in the email.

4) Contact IT team immediately.  IT team may request you to forward the phishing email to them for further investigation and analysis.

5) Offending senders and domains of phishing emails will be blocked by IT team.

6) IT team may initiate or request you to perform a full system scan as additional precaution.

7) The phishing email may be forwarded by IT team to reportphishing@apwg.org for further analysis.
